Good morning readers, I don't know if this is going to be a frequent posting place or not, but I thought it might be a good place to start.
We were married on March 11th 2006, at Little Palm Island, Florida. Everything was perfect.
Our travels to Florida started Thursday afternoon with a flight to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. Most of us stayed in Miami Thursday night. Allen and I went to the municipal building Friday morning to get all the legal stuff taken care of, then we were off to Tourch Key.
Already at Tourch Key, my mom, Aunt Lynn and Mary were busy getting things together for "Supper on the Shore". This would be the first time the Jones family and the Nash family meet. It was a wonderful dinner. A relaxed environment with tiki tourches and sea-shells everywhere; fun was had by all. It was nice that everyone could enjoy a social evening and get to know one another.
Saturday we all got together again for an "Add A Nash Brunch". Another meal together for more, well-rested Get-to-know-ya conversation. Everyone got along very well. not that we were worried, but still it was nice to see new friends made.
Saturday afternoon, I was busy getting all bridal, while the rest of the gang relaxed and enjoyed the day. Some went down to Key West, others found things to do close by.
The weather was perfect and there was a nice breeze so it wasn't too hot. Little Palm Island is a short 15-20 minute boat ride from Tourch Key. Once there, you feel like you are on the only island on earth. it is beautiful and the service is unmatched. After the ceremony while we were taking pictures a little Key Deer came up to us to share in the flowers. They love to eat flowers.
The wedding feast followed, and like everything else about this weekend, it too was perfect. The last boat of the island left at 10pm, so we all said good night, and the honeymoon began....
